The Nyinggulu
The Nyinggulu
This piece tells the story of the coastline where I grew up - the beautiful Coral Coast. It follows the journey from the blowholes to Gnaraloo Station, through Warroora and Coral Bay, and up along the Nyinggulu (Ningaloo) to Exmouth.
Each place holds more than just a name, they carry memories of Country, community. and connection. The artwork reflects the natural beauty and vibrant colours of this coastline, with shifting shades of blue that echo the depth and movement of the ocean.
Along the shoreline, symbols of meeting places and campsites where people continue to journey, connect, and share stories along these well-travelled tracks. It's a reflection of place, memory and movement.
A deep connection to Yamatji Country.
